Mountaineering Ladakh Tour

Mountaineering Routes in Ladakh

Nun-Kun Massif

One of the most preferred Ladakh mountain range preferred by mountaineers. It is easily accessible by road and Kargil-Padum have six mountain peaks. Nun (7,135 m) and Kun (7,087 m) are the highest peaks in this range.

Stok-Khangri Macizo

Stok-Khangri Massif is located in the mountains that provides a picturesque view of the Zanskar River Indus and is closer to Leh. Stok Khangri (6,510 m), Gulap Khangri (5,900 m), Matho West (5,950 m) and Kantaka (5,275 m) are some of the big mountains in this range by attending a large number of climbers each year from various parts of the country. It is an ideal peak for amateur mountaineers and requires some basic skills.

Karakoram Range

Karakoram mountain range is located on the north side of Leh. There are a number of opportunities for fans to explore the mountain in Karakoram mountain range. Saser-I (7,415 m), Saser-II (7,513 m) and Saser-III (7,495 m) are the three main peaks that attract climbers from around the world.

Pico Khangyatse

Khangyatse Peak (6,400 m) lies southwest of Leh and is accessible by road trekking Markha Valley. Climbing Khangyatse peak is a difficult task, but it is good for beginners in the mountain race.

Other mountain peaks

Some other famous mountain peaks in Ladakh is Matho West (5,950 m), Kantak (5,275 m), Konglacha Peak (6,700 m), etc.

Best Time for Mountaineering in Ladakh

From June to September is the ideal season for climbing in Ladakh. Fans of the mountain outside of India need to obtain a license from the Mountaineering Foundation of India to climb these peaks in Ladakh.
